The National Transport Strategy for Scotland (NTS2) was published on 5th February 2020.
Chair of Nestrans, Councillor Sandra Macdonald, welcomed it’s publication. “The National Transport Strategy provides a strong foundation for our developing Regional Transport Strategy. The priorities in the national document are consistent with our vision to develop a safer, cleaner, more inclusive and accessible transport system in the north east, which contributes to healthier, more prosperous and fairer communities.
“The national strategy, combined with the extensive engagement we have already undertaken with our stakeholders, gives us a clear framework for our emerging policies, informing the initiatives and measures which will benefit our area.
