This research paper considers the elements (of transport and planning policies) which have led to City-Regions being regarded as successful and to help the north east to better understand and articulate that the issues faced in our region are similar to those faced by other City-Regions, both in the UK and across the world. It also attempts to learn from, rather than duplicate work which is currently on-going in similar City-Regions and other Scottish cities which is of value.
